Ciaran Reidy, former General Manager of The Johnstown Estate, has been appointed General Manager to new hotel, The Grace at Westport Estate, set to open in early 2026 following an €85m redevelopment of Westport Estate..

Mr Reidy, fis ormer General Manager of The Johnstown, brings two decades of experience in luxury hospitality to enhance the guest experience and celebrate the estate’s cultural heritage.

Pat McCann, the founder of Dalata Hotel Group, joins the board as a Non-Executive Director, aiming to guide Westport Estate towards becoming a prestigious tourist destination in Ireland.

The project is part of the “Awaken Your Wild” initiative, emphasizing immersive experiences while honouring the historical significance of the estate, inspired by Mayo’s two famous Graces, Grace O’Malley and Grace Kelly.

Designed by Taylor McCarney and constructed by Stewart Construction, the Grace at Westport Estate will open in early 2026. It will replace Hotel Westport, which has been a cherished part of the community since 1971. It will be followed by a new heritage and cultural experience to open in 2027.
