Here are some of the hundreds of events to be visited today in connections with National Heritage Week 2024

  • Hiberno-English Talk, Dive into the rich linguistic history of Ireland at the Hiberno-English talk on August 24th from 8pm to 9pm. Hosted by Mulranny Arts in Co.Mayo, this event explores the evolution of the Irish dialect known as Hiberno-English, shaped by centuries of cultural and linguistic changes.   • Reeling in the Ring of Gullion 730pm – 9pm 5– Lúnasa Festival Step back in time at the Reeling in the Ring of Gullion event on August 25th from 730pm to 9pm. Held in the unique WW2 Nissen hut in Meigh, Co. Armagh, this evening features archive footage from Northern Ireland Screen, celebrating the culture and heritage of the Ring of Gullion through themes of summer, harvest, music, and dance. National Heritage Week dates back to 2005 and has grown into a successful programme of nearly 2,200 events which take place during the last week of August each year.
