Hilton & Loughview sign franchise agreement for 131-room DoubleTree opposite Belfast city hall

Hilton and Loughview have signed the franchise agreement for the new 131-room DoubleTree property in Belfast to open later in 2025, converting the existing Ten Square Hotel located opposite Belfast City Hall.

The refurbished hotel will feature 131 rooms and suites, along with amenities such as Jospers Steakhouse  Jospers Steakhouse, The Linen Bar, The Doffer tap room, and a rooftop bar called The Loft Lounge.

There is already a Doubletree property in Templepatrick on the Kingfisher Country Estate which was recently refurbished. The new hotel will operate under a similar franchise agreement with Loughview Leisure Group,

A DoubleTree hotel will be established in Derry, when the City Hotel rebrands next year. The Marcus Hotel Portrush, Tapestry Collection by Hilton is due to open in July. The Morrison in Dublin is now listed as Curio Collection by Hilton.

These developments are part of a broader trend of new hotel openings in Belfast, including projects from IHG and YOTEL.

The hotel will undergo a multi-million refurbishment before joining the brand later this year. The property features 131 guest rooms and suites, including the Jaffe Penthouse, with many rooms offering picturesque views of the city and the surrounding hills.
