BBN Airlines Nordic has discontinued its cargo operations, surrendering its Air Operator’s Certificate and returning all aircraft to lessors
The airline cited tough trading conditions and decreased demand for freight services due to Covid-19 as reasons for the closure
While the airline had hoped to continue trading, it ultimately decided to cease operations
BBN Airlines Nordic, previously known as Bluebird Nordic, had ten aircraft on the Icelandic registry, with six in storage and four off for maintenance before the decision to discontinue operations
