IndiGo extends partnerships to Air France/KLM & Virgin

IndiGo is launching its first European long-haul flights from Mumbai to Manchester and Amsterdam next month.

The airline has existing codeshare agreements with Virgin Atlantic and Air France-KLM dating back to 2022.

New commercial contracts will allow IndiGo customers to book travel on partner routes to 30 European destinations and flights to the US and Canada.

KLM is set to initiate flights to Hyderabad in September, expanding travel options for Air France-KLM customers.

Shai Weiss, CEO of Virgin Atlantic, shared the news about the partnership, stating the collaboration will enhance connectivity among major economies: “In our 25th year of flying to India, we’re delighted to build on our Joint Venture with Delta and Air France-KLM, and our successful codeshare with IndiGo, by going further with this partnership. As IndiGo starts long-haul operations, we’ll connect four of the world’s largest economies, enhancing the travel experience for our guests, from greater connectivity and optimised flight times to loyalty benefitseiss.”
