Spain hosted 328,459 Irish visitors in May, up 13.2pc compared to May 2024 and 37pc compared with pre-pandemic. Overall Spain hosted 9.4 million international tourists in May, up 1.5pc increase compared to May 2024.
In the first five months of 2025, the number of tourists rose by 5.5%, exceeding 35 million. England was the leading country of origin, with nearly 6.8 million tourists and an increase of 6.9pc.
Balearic Island ranked as the primary destination in May, accounting for 21.2pc of total tourists.
