Kilkenny County Council has approved a six-storey, 67-bedroom hotel in Kilkenny City, located at the corner of Pennyfeather Lane and Pudding Lane, with 16 conditions attached.
The hotel development plans involve demolishing an existing restaurant and adding a hotel with en-suite bedrooms, a reception area, bar, and restaurant facilities.
One of the 16 conditions outlines that construction work will only be allowed to take place between 8am and 6pm on Mondays to Fridays and from 9am until 1pm on Saturdays. Meanwhile, no construction will be allowed on Sundays or public holidays. This is to limit noise pollution in the surrounding area.
