McGlone brothers buy Plough Inn in Hillsborough Co Down

The Plough Inn in Hillsborough County Down, one of Ireland’s most famous family-run hospitality venues, has been acquired by the McGlone family from Magherafelt.

The Plough Inn, owned by the Patterson family since 1978, is well-known for its high-quality food and hospitality.

The McGlone family, with their experience in the hospitality industry, have successfully founded and developed several venues in the mid Ulster area.

All existing staff, approximately 65 members, will be retained by the new owners, showing their commitment to maintaining the business and its heritage.
