Daniel Glavin has been appointed executive head chef at Lake Hotel, Killarney. Mr Glavin oversaw kitchen teams at The Castlelough Restaurant and The Lakeside Bistro after bringing over 15 years of culinary expertise to The Lake Hotel.
Daniel trained in Culinary Arts at CIT before working in kitchens in Australia at Daydream Island Resort. He later took roles in the United States in Palm Beach and at Admirals Cove, before returning to Ireland and working at the Maryborough Hotel before settling in Killarney.
Daniel launched autumn and winter menus that featured regional produce with rich flavours.
Daniel shared “My style of cookery is classical Irish with a modern flair. Kerry offers some of the best ingredients in the country and it’s a privilege to showcase them at The Lake Hotel I’m so grateful for the amazing team I have behind me, I can’t thank them enough for their continued hard work and for bringing my ideas to the plate.”
