
The Metropole Hotel in Cork, Ireland has won bronze in the Historic City Hotel category at the Historic Hotels of Europe Awards in Poland.
The award acknowledges The Metropole Hotel’s dedication to hospitality and excellence, and its 126-year legacy of welcoming guests.
The hotel has a rich heritage and was previously a sweet shop and dry hotel before its transformation into a prominent hospitality destination in Cork. Recently renovated, it provides a central and desirable stay experience in the city.
Roger Russell GM of the Metropole Hotel said: “ It is an honour to see the name of the hotel listed alongside the Grand Hotel et de Milan in Italy and Hotel Stefanie in Austria. It’s a great way to end 2023 which has been a very successful year for the hotel.”
