The proposed MetroLink rail line station at Saint Stephen’s Green has been changed in a series of new documents submitted to An Bord Pleanála by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII).

Public consultation on Dublin’s proposed €9.5bn MetroLink rail line has reopened five months after the An Bord Pleanála hearing closed.

The public has until October 8 to make submissions to An Bord Pleanála, with a required fee of €50. No additional fee is necessary for those who are already participants in the process.

The submission of an additional 200 documents, including changes to the route and plan, prompted the need for further time from involved parties to consider the details, ultimately leading to delays and the decision to republish information for another public consultation.

The MetroLink rail line, running from Swords to Charlemont with 16 stops including Dublin Airport, had its planning board’s hearing open in February, closing in March as scheduled.

An Bord Pleanála will then decide whether it is necessary to reopen the oral hearing.

The planning board’s initial hearing on the rail line, which will run from Swords to Charlemont with 16 stops, including Dublin Airport, opened on February 19 and closed as scheduled on March 28.
