NH Collection, part of Minor Hotels, is expanding its footprint into East Africa with the signing of the NH Collection Pemba Island Resort in Tanzania. This marks the brand’s debut in the country and its entry into the Zanzibar archipelago, where Pemba Island is located.
The 145-key resort, developed in partnership with Infinity Developments (the entity behind the upcoming Anantara Zanzibar Resort & Residences), is scheduled to open in February 2030. It will feature suites and villas, focusing on exclusive, low-impact tourism to preserve the island’s pristine environment.
This development reinforces Minor Hotels’ commitment to growth across East Africa and the Indian Ocean region, elevating hospitality standards through premium offerings.
