Derry has emerged as Ireland’s fastest growing airport, up 88pc in February from 9,192 to 17,313 passengers.
The increase in Derry’s passenger numbers is attributed to new services introduced to Birmingham, Edinburgh, and Liverpool. Ryanair exited the Derry to Birmingham route at the end of March but it will be taken up by Easyjet in September.
