Dublin City Council has granted planning permission in February 2026 for a 44-unit aparthotel at 14 to 17 O’Connell Street Lower next to Clerys Quarter.
The development includes 32 double, nine twin and three accessible studio apartments. The ground floor features a new reception and coffee shop in place of the former Encha restaurant. External works cover brickwork cleaning, window repairs and LED illumination on the protected structure.
The site provides eight bicycle spaces with no car parking provision.
