Playa del Carmen and Tulum report full occupancy levels in many hotels during the peak spring season while Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta experience high demand from North American and European markets. Aeromexico and Viva Aerobus maintain near full schedules on routes from the United States Canada and Europe with additional frequencies added to meet rising bookings.
The government confirms that all major airports function without restrictions and cruise ports in Cozumel Mazatlan and Ensenada welcome multiple ships weekly.
Visitor numbers for January and February already surpass 2025 figures by around 12pc according to preliminary data from Sectur with forecasts pointing to a record year. Beach resorts in Quintana Roo and Baja California Sur operate at full capacity with water activities diving excursions and cultural tours running as usual. Standard health protocols remain in place at entry points but no extraordinary measures apply.
Hotel groups including Grupo Posadas and AMResorts report robust forward bookings through summer while smaller boutique properties in Puerto Escondido and Sayulito note increased interest from independent travellers.
The peso is trading at approximately 20.15 to the euro providing favourable exchange rates for visitors from the eurozone. The tourism sector expects clear progress toward pre-pandemic levels with confidence returning among operators and travellers alike.
