As the holiday falls on Tuesday, 17 March, major events are scheduled over the weekend of 13–15 March and on the day itself.
- Brisbane Saint Patrick’s Day Parade: The state’s flagship event on Saturday, 14 March, starting at 10:30 AM. It begins and ends at the City Botanic Gardens on Alice Street, following a route through the CBD via Margaret Street. The 2026 theme is “Gaeilge – The Language of Ireland”, featuring over 700 participants and 40 floats, marching bands, Irish dancers, and community groups.
- Saint Patrick’s Day at Brunswick Street Mall (Brisbane): A lively street celebration on Tuesday, 17 March from 11:00 AM, with live Irish bands, roaming pipe bands, and traditional dancers entertaining crowds throughout the day.
- Gilhooleys Irish Pub (Brisbane): Festivities on Saturday, 14 March from 11:00 AM, including live music, Irish dancers, pipe bands, traditional meals, and Guinness and Magners on tap.
- Port Office Hotel (Brisbane): Ideally positioned for parade viewing on Saturday, 14 March from 11:30 AM, offering live music, face painting, and a menu featuring steak and Guinness pies.
