Ryanair has announced the purchase of 30 new CFM LEAP-1B engines, valued at $500m to enhance its operational resilience.
The engines are scheduled for delivery over the next two years and will support Ryanair’s growing fleet of 210 Boeing 737 Gamechanger aircraft.
Ryanair plans to expand its fleet to 800 Boeing 737s and aims to carry 300 million guests per annum by 2034.
CFM’s President & CEO, Gael Meheust, shared, “This new agreement is another milestone in the long and successful partnership we have built with Ryanair.”
