Ryanair announces record breaking summer 2026 schedule at Turin Airport

Ryanair has announced a record breaking summer 2026 schedule at Turin Airport. The expansion adds one new based aircraft bringing the fleet to three aircraft with an investment of three hundred million US dollars. Over three hundred and eighty weekly flights will operate across thirty two routes including two new destinations to Sofia and Tirana delivering three point three million passengers per annum which represents a twenty one per cent increase on the previous summer.

Extra frequencies have been added to more than ten popular existing routes such as Lamezia Terme Madrid Malaga Malta Marrakech Reggio Calabria Siviglia and Trapani Marsala. This growth strengthens low fare connectivity for residents of the Piedmont region and supports over two thousand five hundred local jobs. Ryanair’s low fare model continues to drive traffic tourism and employment when supported by competitive airport charges.

Fabrizio Francioni head of communications Italy Ryanair shared “Ryanair’s record Summer 2026 schedule for Milan reinforces our continued commitment to Piedmont region and Italy. This summer Ryanair will base one new aircraft in Milan bringing our total Turin based fleet to three aircraft a t€300m investment and will operate 32 routes including two new delivering plus 21pc traffic growth to 3.2m annual passengers with unrivalled low fare choice and connectivity for citizens and visitors to Lombardy. The airline has worked closely with the airport operator to unlock this growth. Ryanair called on the Italian government to scrap the municipal tax at all airports to enable further expansion including an additional forty aircraft twenty million extra passengers two hundred and fifty new routes and fifteen thousand jobs across Italy.

Paolo Papale aviation development director of Torino Airport shared “Ryanair is a key player in the growth of our airport. We recorded a very significant increase in traffic during the ongoing winter season surpassing in 2025 the record of five million passengers handled. This is certainly also thanks to Ryanair which since November 2025 has based a third aircraft and opened new destinations while increasing frequencies on a very broad range of routes.” He welcomed the two new international routes to Tirana and Sofia as boosting inbound tourism to the region.
