The 224 room Slieve Russell Hotel in Ballyconnell will be put up for sale for offers over €30m in spring 2024.
The liquidators of Irish Bank Resolution Corporation, formerly Anglo Irish Bank, will be handling the sale of the four-star Slieve Russell Hotel, which includes a golf course and spa.
The hotel, along with the Hilton Prague, are the last remaining hospitality assets formerly belonging to Sean Quinn to be sold.
In recent years, the liquidators have been selling off Quinn’s hospitality assets, including pubs in Dublin such as The Barge and JW Sweetman.
The Slieve Russell Hotel had a profitable year in 2022, generating nearly €4.4m (£3.8m) in profits on a turnover of almost €16.5m (£13.8m).
Despite its valuation of €22.3m (£19m) and a cash balance of €6.5m (£5.6m), the company still owes €66m (£57.1m) to IBRC, making a €30m sale insufficient to cover its debts.
