SunExpress commences 2w service from Cork to Izmir

SunExpress began its service from Cork Airport to Izmir on Saturday with flights operated twice a week on Boeing 737 aircraft.

Passengers celebrated the launch event with Turkish-style snacks, showcasing the airline’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience. Return fares for the new route start at €260. Flights are on Wednesdays and Saturdays leaving Cork at 16.40 to arrive 23.05 and leaving Izmir 12.50 to arrive 15.40.

Cork Airport has recorded a 14pc increase in passenger traffic year-to-date, making it the fastest growing airport in Ireland.

The service opens up opportunities for cultural, archaeological, and culinary tourism, including visits to renowned sites like Ephesus.
