
The Hoxton (formerly the Central Hotel on 1- 5 Exchequer Street) has confirmed an opening day of November 20 for its first Ireland property in Dublin’s Creative Quarter with 129 rooms. Rooms start at €187 for 4sq m ‘Snug’ rooms.
The restored Victorian building features a lobby bar with Viking-era ruins, Cantina Valentina restaurant, Dollars sandwich and wine bar, The Library Bar, and Groundwork nightlife venue. Room designs use autumnal colour palettes inspired by the Irish landscape, blending traditional and contemporary elements.
Cantina Valentina offers Peruvian-inspired cuisine, while Dollars serves as a daytime sandwich shop and evening wine bar. A pre-opening offer (code GRAND) provides 20pc off rooms, €30 food and drink credit, and two free pints of Guinness for bookings before 20 November 2025.
Viking-era ruins discovered during the development will be incorporated into the design, alongside the renovated Library Bar.
Ennismore shared, “The ground-floor bar and lounge is homey yet refined, with nods to the traditional Irish pub Fires, traditional furniture and dark timber finishes will breathe new life into the local landmark.”
The Hoxton shared in a written statement: “The Lobby Bar and lounge on entry is, in true Hox-fashion, homey yet refined. Aptly situated in Dublin’s Creative Quarter, The Hoxton will neighbour iconic Drury Street.”
