The Kansas City Chiefs finally arrived in Denver on Saturday night after their plane spent about four hours stranded on the tarmac at Kansas City International Airport amid an ice storm that blanketed the region ahead of an impending blizzard.
More than 2,000 flights have been delayed and 1,500 cancelled in and out of the US, according to tracking website FlightAware. Flights to Ireland were not affected.
