Nine-bedroom boutique townhouse hotel Townhouse on the Green has opened at 22 St. Stephen’s Green in Dublin, offering elegant and luxurious bedrooms over two floors in an 18th-century house.
The hotel is centrally located, surrounded by thetres, galleries, bookshops, boutiques, bars, and restaurants, providing guests with access to the best the city has to offer.
Designed by Albert Noonan, the rooms on the third and fourth floors of the hotel blend historical details with contemporary comfort, featuring lush textures, various shades of green, botanical wallpapers, and Green-inspired room categories.
The house was built in 1790 for Thomas Lighton, a grocer who made his fortune with the East India Company. It is familiar as the location for the Cliff Townhouse and Cellar 22.
Room options at Townhouse on the Green are unique and named after statues in neighboring St. Stephen’s Green Park, with amenities including a king size bed, air conditioning, complimentary Wi-Fi, smart TV, and Roads amenities in Bitter End fragrance. The hotel also features a wine bar and is set to open a new restaurant. A stay with breakfast for two starts at €259, with special offers for guests staying from June to August.
