A group led by Ulick McEvaddy is seeking planning permission for a large cargo hub near Dublin Airport, aimed at processing pharmaceuticals and specialized freight, covering about 500,000 square feet.
The proposal includes plans for four cargo buildings, marking the first phase in a broader strategy to expand Dublin Airport’s operations using a privately owned 260-acre landbank.
This proposed development has faced criticism and opposition from the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA), which asserts that there is sufficient space for airport expansion on existing properties.
As part of the planning application process, the group is conducting an environmental impact assessment while maintaining that their plans align with regional development strategies.
