Venezuelan aircraft spotters have identified a new presidential jet for the Maduro-led government, a Bombardier Aerospace Global 6000, registered as T7-102X (msn 9476).
The aircraft was ferried to Caracas Simón Bolivar from Lyon Grenoble Alpes Isère via Geneva and Antigua between July 2 and 3, according to ADS-B data, and has been operating flights between Caracas and Porlamar.
T7-102X, previously registered as N711LS and owned by TVPX ARS INC TRUSTEE, a subsidiary of TVPX Aircraft Registration Service LLC, was deregistered from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) database on March 13, 2024, and exported to San Marino.
This new presidential jet replaces the previously seized Dassault Falcon 900EX and signals the acquisition of a different aircraft for official use by Nicolás Maduro and his government.
The United States seized a Dassault Aviation Falcon 900EX, T7-ESPRT, used as the presidential jet for Nicolás Maduro, Venezuela’s commander in chief.
The aircraft was ferried from Santo Domingo La Isabela to Fort Lauderdale Executive on September 2 after being grounded in the Dominican Republic and transferred to Southern District of Florida.
The seizure was explained by Attorney General Merrick B Garland, stating that the airframe was illegally purchased in 2022 via a shell company for USD13m and smuggled out of the United States for use by Maduro and his regime.
The US claims individuals affiliated with the Maduro regime used a Caribbean-based shell company to conceal their involvement in the purchase of the Dassault Falcon, which was exported to Venezuela in April 2023 and has since been used for Maduro’s benefit.
The Venezuelan government responded in a statement that the US had illegally confiscated the aircraft “justifying itself with the coercive measures that it unilaterally and illegally imposes around the world.”
