Wexford launches inaugural WexTrad Weekend for St Brigid’s Bank Holiday

Wexford has launched the inaugural WexTrad Weekend from 29 January to 2 February 2026 across the St Brigid’s bank holiday. The festival celebrated Irish traditional music dance and heritage throughout Wexford Town building on Fleadh momentum. Wexford County Council supported the event as a Fleadh legacy project alongside Wexford Credit Union Wexford Town Vintners Talbot Hotel and Crown Quarter. The programme featured concerts workshops exhibitions and late-night entertainment. The weekend openes with the Wexford Mummers Ball revival at the Talbot Hotel on 29 January.

WexTrad shared in a written statement “Wexford is set to launch a major new cultural festival with the inaugural WexTrad Weekend taking place across the St Brigid’s bank holiday from January 29th to February 2nd.”
