The Address Collective, owned by the McGettigan family is investing £9m in its upcoming hotel in Glasgow, which will be its first venture outside of Ireland.
They acquired the former Pocotel building in Glasgow City Centre for £4.5m in October 2022, and the hotel will feature 95 beds, a wellness spa, an open-plan eatery, and a cocktail bar.
The Address Glasgow is expected to create more than 80 job opportunities in Glasgow. The hotel will be the fifth one in the portfolio of The Address Collective, which also includes hotels in Dublin, Cork, and Sligo. Additionally, The Address Capel Street is currently in development and is set to open in early 2025. Brian and Ciara McGettigan are the owners and managers of the group.
