Visit Cork targets Germany and Canada for tourism growth in 2026

Visit Cork is looking to Germany and Canada for tourism growth alongside continued focus on the US, Spain, France, and the Netherlands to support 22,500 tourism jobs. 

The strategy includes increased marketing, sustainability initiatives, accessibility improvements, and business events growth aiming for 8 to 10pc visitor increase. Cork ranks 20th globally on the Global Destination Sustainability Index.

The annual Tourism Industry Day at Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa outlined priorities under Pure Cork for leisure and Cork Convention Bureau for business events which delivered €150m to the economy. New campaigns will emphasise food, gastronomy, adventure, immersive experiences, and night-time economy. The Visit Cork Green Award 2026 was launched.
