Lamington Group has opened its fourth property, room2 Belfast, which is their first property outside of England. Lamington describe their rooms as hometels, a space between home and a hotel., a derivate of’aparthotel.

The eco-friendly hometel holds a gold rating in the Green Tourism Award and Platinum in the Greengage ECOsmart Accreditation.

The building runs on renewable energy and follows a circular economy approach, eliminating waste and pollution. The design incorporates recycled materials, local artwork, and lighting from a nearby company.

Additionally, room2 Belfast supports the local community by showcasing local artists and designers, organizing events, and hiring staff from the city. Lamington say the hometel values sustainability, personal service, and creating a place to live rather than just stay for their guests. Double rooms at room2 Belfast start from £130 per night.
