Air Canada unveils new premium cabins for 787-10 and A321XLR

Air Canada has unveiled two new cabin products at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. The airline has introduced the Signature Plus Suite for its upcoming Boeing 787-10 fleet and a new business class configuration for the Airbus A321XLR. Both designs have incorporated larger surfaces, improved storage and customised finishes.

The 787-10 Signature Plus Suite has featured a two-metre bed, a spacious table and a dedicated guest seat with 27-inch 4K OLED screens in business class. The A321XLR has offered 14 lie-flat Signature Class seats in a 1-1 layout using the Collins Aerospace Aurora suite without doors to allow a longer bed and wider aisle. Economy has featured 13-inch screens on the A321XLR and 13-inch screens on the 787-10 while Premium Economy has featured 16-inch screens on the 787-10.

The designs have drawn on muted greys, stone tones, wood grain and bronze accents with Canadian-inspired elements such as a backlit maple leaf canopy on the A321XLR and waterway features on the 787-10.

Mark Nasr shared “This investment is about fundamentally redefining the experience of flying with Air Canada. A door is less important at your feet than it is along your side.”
