ANA Holdings has revealed plans to invest €14.84bn over five years through fiscal year 2028, focusing on fleet expansion and network enhancement. The strategy targets growth in international passenger and cargo sectors ahead of Tokyo Narita’s 2029 expansion. The group aims to increase its fleet to around 330 aircraft, surpassing pre-pandemic levels of 303 units.
New aircraft deliveries include B787-9 models starting August 2026 with updated cabin products, alongside E190-E2 for domestic routes post-2028. Low-cost subsidiary Peach Aviation will incorporate A321-200NY(XLR) in 2028, boosting capacity by 30 percent on international paths from Osaka Kansai. Cargo operations integrate NCA – Nippon Cargo Airlines, expecting €164.8m in synergies by 2030.
Financial goals encompass operating income of €1.36bn in FY2028 and €1.7bn in FY2030, with a 10 percent margin by then. €1.44bn allocates to digital transformation. Emerging ventures involve commercial drone deliveries in 2027 and air taxi services upon certification, alongside 70 percent growth at Narita.
ANA Holdings shared in a written statement “ANA Holdings will invest a record-high JPY2.7 trillion yen (USD17.5bn) over the next five years, according to the strategic plan revealed on January 30, 2026.”
