MSC Cruises has revealed Asia-inspired artwork installations created exclusively for the MSC World Asia, the newest World Class vessel scheduled to begin seven-night Mediterranean sailings from 4 December 2026.
The collection includes a 12-metre stainless steel dragon sculpture with 700 mirrors and 3,000 LED lights suspended above the World Promenade, alongside large-scale koi fish sculptures by David Harber representing perseverance and transformation.
Additional features comprise a water droplet-shaped art installation by Elisabetta Milan in the indoor pool area, corridor artworks themed around Asian city deck names, and cabin pieces evoking Asian landscapes and motifs. Works by Vietnamese artist Hoan Phan draw from locations including Mount Fuji, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand, while bespoke pieces from Atelier Le Castel appear in venues such as La Dolce Vita bar, restaurants, the theatre, and MSC Yacht Club areas. The sushi restaurant features koi-themed art by Raimondo Briata.
MSC Cruises shared in a written statement the artworks complement the ship’s design reflecting Asia’s culture, art, and landscapes. The curation aims to integrate visual elements throughout guest spaces.
