‘Do not swim’ notice issued for Saint Helen’s Beach in Rosslare

A ‘do not swim’ notice has been issued for Saint Helen’s Beach in Rosslare due to elevated levels of e-coli in the water

The notice issued following testing that showed elevated levels of E. Coli bacteria at the popular beach

Consultation with the HSE led to decision to issue warning in accordance with Bathing Water Quality Regulations

Further samples have been taken and results expected on June 12, ban on swimming will be reviewed based on results. The council’s environmental technical team is investigating the matter and public have been urged to obey the notice and stay out of the water.
