Dún Laoghaire preparing for Europe’s oldest ukelele festival August 24–25

The Ukulele Hooley, taking place in Dún Laoghaire August 24th to August 25th, will attract thousands of ukulele fans from Ireland and abroad for its 13th year.

The event is Europe’s oldest ukulele festival, is expected to bring a financial boost to the south Dublin seaside town as fans enjoy a weekend of entertainment and fun.

The highlight of the festival will be the free concert in the People’s Park, Dún Laoghaire, on August 25th, attracting thousands of fans.

Supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, the Ukulele Hooley 2024 will feature workshops, competitions, performances by international artists, and various attractions that fans love.
