Explora Journeys celebrated three construction milestones at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy with the floating out of Explora III, a coin ceremony for Explora IV, and cutting of steel for Explora V.
The MSC Group is progressing towards a fleet of six ships by 2028 following a €3.5 billion investment.
The Explora I and II are currently in service, operating at near full capacity in the Mediterranean Sea.
New ships from Explora Journeys will be powered by liquefied natural gas and equipped for renewable fuel alternatives from the Explora III onwards.
The Explora III is set to enter the fleet in 2026, with Explora IV and V launching in 2027 and 2028, respectively.
