Data from Stena Line indicates that over 20pc of its passengers on the Irish Sea in 2024 travelled as foot passengers, with 59pc of these frequent travellers using the operator more than twice a year.

To boost foot passenger numbers, Stena Line has launched a promotional deal until April 1, offering single foot passenger crossings for just €17 across four Irish Sea routes.

Bookings for this offer must be made by April 1, with travel available until December 18, creating an opportunity for travellers to plan future trips.

The available routes include daily crossings from Dublin to Holyhead, Rosslare to Fishguard, and Belfast to Cairnryan and Liverpool, providing accessible travel options.
