Turespaña has launched its latest €8m international advertising campaign focussed on inland regions and emphasising sustainable tourism and slow travel with the theme: “think you know Spain, think again.”

The campaign presents lesser-known sides of Spain, promoting international visitors to explore unfamiliar destinations, The three-month, Europe-wide initiative is aimed at encouraging foreign travelers to return to Spain, and takes the focus away form the beach and heavily touristed coastal regions.

Turespaña collaborated with 12 autonomous regions and filmed in over 60 locations for this extensive campaign. The focus on slow travel aligns with the “Spain Tourism 2030” strategy for sustainable and responsible tourism.

The commitment includes an investment of approximately €30m over three years for marketing and advertising. The campaign aims to attract off-peak tourists, encouraging longer stays to support local communities and sustainable tourism.

Music featured on the videos includes Give It Love by The Wildcardz, dazeychain, Present Moment by Borrtex and Welcome Home by Angel Salazar.
