
Reginald’s Tower in Waterford is offering free admission today as part of Heritage Week 2024.
Originally a site of a Viking fort, the stone tower has been in continuous use for over 800 years and served various functions under English monarchs.
Visitors can explore the tower, see remains of a 19th-century prison cell, artefacts from Waterford’s Viking history, and the sword of the Chief Constable.
The tower also houses a branch of the Waterford Museum of Treasures focusing on the town’s Viking heritage.
