Ireland’s largest hotel the 764-room Citywest has been sold to the Irish government.

The Citywest Hotel is owned by Tetrarch Capital and is a key property in the state’s refugee accommodation system. The hotel was on the market for €100m to purchase, commercial property sources have said. It has been on private contract to the government since shortly after the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020
