The pedestrianisation of Quay Street in New Ross is set to commence at the beginning of 2026, with the design process currently underway.
Malone O’Regan Consulting Engineers have been appointed for design and consultancy services, funded by the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund and Wexford County Council.
Plans for the new Norman Visitor Centre aim for an opening in summer 2027. members of the council have called for engagement on the stalled Docks Hotel site development.
District manager Alan Fitzhenry confirmed that communication with the hotel site owner will be initiated for an update on the potential development.
