The Philippine government has ordered a reduction in passenger service charges and airport navigation charges at airports operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines to ease airline operating costs amid rising jet fuel prices linked to the latest conflict in the Middle East.
The directive excludes privately operated airports including Manila Ninoy Aquino International Angeles City Clark International Cebu and Panglao.
Separately the Civil Aeronautics Board raises the passenger fuel surcharge to Level 8 for April 1 to 15 2026 up from Level 4 in March.
Domestic surcharges rise to PHP253 to PHP787 while international surcharges increase to PHP835 to PHP6209.
The Civil Aeronautics Board shortens the review and approval period for fuel surcharge rates from one month to 15 days.
