P&O Cruises Australia has cancelled the Pacific Encounter’s visits to New Caledonia scheduled for late June due to recent civil unrest

The affected June 22, 2024 sailing will now visit different islands in the South Pacific instead of Noumea and Lifou

Passengers booked on the cruise will receive refunds for pre-paid shore excursions for Noumea and Lifou

The company stated that safety is their priority and added a full day visit to Vanuatu’s Mystery Island to enhance the passenger experience for the June 22 sailing of the Pacific Encounter from Brisbane.
