Ray O’Donoghue has stepped down from his role with the Sea Sessions Festival to focus solely on enhancing Dublin’s night-time economy after the festival takes a break in 2025.
O’Donoghue joined Sea Sessions in 2010 and played an integral part in developing the event into a celebrated festival known for its blend of music, surf, sport, and beach culture in Bundoran.
He reflected, “Sea Sessions has been a huge part of that journey, and I’ve loved seeing it grow into one of the country’s best-loved festivals.”
The festival is noted for attracting up to 10,000 attendees daily and has hosted prominent acts such as Dermot Kennedy and Bastille.
Ray O’Donoghue shared: “Dublin’s night-time culture is evolving, and I’m excited to play a part in reimagining how the city comes alive after dark.”
