RECORD MAY for Cork Airport with passenger numbers up 17pc on 2024 & 38pc on pre pandemic

Cork Airport reported a 17.3pc increase in passenger numbers in May, accommodating 330,888 passengers, which is 38.4pc more than pre-pandemic levels and marks Cork Airport’s busiest May ever.

Average wit time for bags was 12 minutes and on time departures 83pc, while 99pc of passenegrs where through security in 20 minutes or less 

Kenny Jacobs, DAA chief executive, indicated that the airport’s team is prepared for what might be the busiest summer in its history.

An investment plan of €200m was announced for Cork Airport, enhancing its capacity and services.New flights launched by SunExpress to İzmir contribute to the airport’s growing number of airlines, now totalling nine.
