Revenues at Select Service Partner Ireland Ltd (SSPI), which operates Camile Thai, Burger King, The Lansdowne Bar and other concessions at Dublin Airport, rose 51pc to €78.3m due to rising passenger numbers.
Despite the revenue surge, the company reported a pre-tax loss of €2.37m for the 12 months ending September 27, 2023, compared to a previous year profit of €2.18m boosted by government wage subsidy payments.
The directors attributed the 2023 loss to higher costs, including increased operating expenses and capital investments in new stores and concepts to meet air passenger demands.
SSPI operates a network of food and beverage outlets at Dublin Airport, partnering with Irish brands and opening new stores to adapt to passenger growth, resulting in increased staff costs and a decline in cash funds from €2.69m to €737,177.
