Roscommon County Council has requested further information on Coillte’s proposed redevelopment of Lough Key Forest Park.
The council cited concerns over traffic safety on the adjoining N4 national primary route and environmental impacts. Issues include inadequate Traffic and Transport Assessment addressing collision risks from increased visitor numbers.
The application requires a revised Ecological Impact Assessment for tree felling and works on Drumman’s Island. Coillte has six months to submit the requested details, which may require new public notices due to their scale.
