Royal Caribbean Group has entered an agreement with Meyer Turku to order a fourth Icon Class ship for Royal Caribbean International, with delivery scheduled for 2027, and options for a fifth and sixth vessel, following the launch of the Icon of the Seas earlier this year.

The order signifies a positive impact on Finland’s employment and economy, as noted by Prime Minister Petteri Orpo, emphasizing the strength of Finland’s maritime cluster and shipbuilding capabilities, with Meyer Turku having built 21 ships for Royal Caribbean Group over 28 years. It follows the Icon of the Seas, which launched earlier this year. Star of the Seas (launching in 2025) and the yet-to-be-named third Icon Class ship (launching in 2026).
