
Here are some of the 2024 Heritage Week events, on the theme of Connections, Routes and Networks for Monday August 19.
- Antiques Rock Show -Michael Cusack Centre Carron County Clare 11 am to 12.30 pm. bring your Burren Rocks and Fossils for Assessment by Eamon Doyle, Geologist, Burren & Cliffs of Moher, UNESCO Global Geopark.
- Guided Walking Tour on one of Ireland’s Oldest Towns Kildare. Time: 11.30-12.30.
- Father Browne’s Ireland as Gaeilge, Gaeilgeoirí Cois Laoi, Clayton Hotel Cork 19.00
- Conservation tour, 12:30pm National Museum of Ireland – Country Life, Turlough Park, Castlebar, F23 HY31
From Monday to Friday visitors who travel to participating heritage sites using the Local Links service will enjoy free travel.
National Heritage Week dates back to 2005 and has grown into a successful programme of nearly 2,200 events which take place during the last week of August each year.
