Turkish Airlines and Thai Airways announced a codeshare agreement during the IATA Annual General Meeting in Delhi, building on an alliance that began in December 2023.

The partnership seeks to enhance passenger traffic between Türkiye and Thailand, capitalising on both airlines’ extensive networks. It wil offer connections through Istanbul for Irish passengers.

Ahmet Bolat said this collaboration will improve tourism prospects and connectivity between the two regions, offering more options for travellers.

Chai Eamsiri mentioned that the implementation of the codeshare flights on the Bangkok-Istanbul route is expected in the winter 2025-2026 schedule, pending necessary approvals.

The agreement is positioned to expand route networks and explore new business opportunities for both airlines in the future.
