Türkiye hosted 64m visitors in 2025, generating tourism revenues of €60.5bn according to figures released by Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy. This marked a 2.7 percent increase in visitor numbers from 2024 and a 6.8 percent rise in revenues. The country aims for €63.1bn in revenues during 2026.
Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, shared we are aiming for 68bn dollars in 2026. He noted that Türkiye ranked fourth worldwide for visitor numbers in 2024, up from eighth in 2017, and seventh for revenues, up from fifteenth. Key source markets included the Russian Federation with 6.9m visitors, Germany with 6.75m, and England with 4.27m.
The sector has diversified beyond sea, sand, and sun to include culture, nature, health, gastronomy, congress, cruise, and winter tourism. Initiatives such as the Heritage for the Future vision and Night Museum projects, along with successful miniseries campaigns, have supported growth and global positioning.
